Monken Hadley War Memorial on Sunday 9 November Church
Opening Times
Apart from Services, the
Church is generally locked for maximum
security, but there are some Sunday afternoons when the Church is open. Come
and look around this lovely old building, maybe to say a
prayer, light a candle, or just to spend some quiet time in
the
peaceful surroundings.

'Lest we Forget'
On
Sunday 9 November, a well attended Memorial Service was led by The
Rector, Rev Timothy L'Estrange, to remember those who had died in
conflicts around the world. A trumpeter sounded the last post and a long list of parishioners names was read out, those who had fallen during the two world wars. At the end of the service a dignified procession made its way across the muddy grass to the War Memorial on Hadley Common, where a wreath was laid. Then the children came forward and laid thier own small tokens of remembrance. A Cause for celebration
![]() Congratulations Phil Redman who celebrated his 80th birthday on 11 November He treated the congregation to a celebratory glass of wine with a slice of cake (above) and a slice of Barbara Gladding's delicious bread pudding.
